Let’s Save Water to Do Our Bit for Disaster Areas

近几个月来，我国的四川、重庆、云南、贵州、广西遭遇了历史罕见的特大灾害，几百天时间滴雨未下，泥土干裂，裂缝达到几十厘米，庄稼枯死、树木枯死、夏粮绝收、人民的生活用水造成极大的困难。严重的旱灾已导致我国西南地区6130多万人受灾，直接经济损失达236.6亿元。

For months, the provinces of Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi in China have been suffering devastating disa-
sters seldom seen in history: The mud has been parched and split apart by the sun with the depth of the cracks up to dozens of
centimeters as there has never been a blessed drop of rain for hundreds of days, and the crops have withered up while the trees
have perished.   It has been extremely difficult for people to get living water and not a single summer grain will be reaped in
many places.   More than 61,300,000 people have suffered from these severe droughts in southwestern China and the direct
economic losses have reached up to 23.66 billion yuan. 

为此学校将倡导同学们与家长一起开展“节水方法的探索活动”将水进行循环利用，让每一滴水都发挥出它充分的作用。

For this reason, the school promotes that the students launch with their parents a project “Exploration into Methods of Water
Conservation”and recycle water so that every drop of it will play its full role.

学校大队委号召大家

1、“一瓶水、一份牵挂；一元钱、一颗爱心。”向灾区人民献爱心。

2、从每一件小时做起，节约每一滴水。

3、“小手牵大手”带动自己的家人都一起加入节水行列。

To this end, The Young Pioneers’ Committee of the school appeals to everyone to:
1. Dedicate our loving heart to the disaster-stricken people by “giving a bottle of water with our care or donating
one yuan to show our loving concern”;  

2. Save every drop of water from little nothings of our daily life;

3. Lead our family members to participate in this water saving project by “holding big hands with our little ones”.
