Taking Excellence Selection as Driving Force to Promote Class and Personal Development

    学期评优活动又开始了。为了使评优工作真正起到激励先进，鼓励后进的作用，德育处利用集体朝会对全校学生进行了一次“评比条件”的通识培训，其目的是让同学们把握评选标准，扎实评选过程，淡化评选结果，把评选的过程真正作为一次学习的过程，提高认识水平的过程。

The excellence selection activity for the term has started again.  In order to make sure that this event could genuinely encour-
age the advanced and urge those who lagged behind, the ME Dept. conducted a general training of “selection terms” for the
whole campus during the morning gathering, the purpose of which was to enable the students to grasp the selection criteria, to
do solid work for the selection, to weaken the selection results and to take the process of the selection as a learning chance
and as a process of raising the level of awareness of the students.

    培训过程中，大家听得专心致志。台上台下互动呼应使这次培训达到了预期的目的。

During the training process, everyone was very concentrated.  Interactions
on and off the stage made the training achieve the desired objectives.

郭主任向同学们明确提出评优的条件，希望同学们对照检查。
Director Ms Guo proposed clear terms for the excellence selection for the students
and she hoped that the students could make a contrast and check among themselves.

虽然天色还很黑暗，但同学们却是那么专注。
Although it was still dark, the students were very dedicated.
