亲爱的同学们：

大家好！

当你正在无忧无虑学习、玩耍的时候，你是否知道，在我们身边，正有许多老人和小孩用渴求的目光注视着天空，期待着雨水的到来？最近几个月来，我国一些省区特别是西南地区（四川、重庆、云南、贵州、广西）遭遇历史罕见的特大旱灾，使得河水枯竭、井水枯竭、田地干枯、土地开裂，甚至一个五百年来从未干枯的泉水，都已经滴水未见。人们的生活陷入了极大的困境中，饮水困难、生活用水困难、耕地用水困难，地里的庄家纷纷枯死，颗粒无收。据气象预报，干旱将持续蔓延，损失会继续增加，人民生活的困难还会进一步加大。

然而，当遭受旱灾的人们正在为饮水而愁眉不展时，有些的人却在大肆浪费我们共同的水资源。同学们，我们现在应该做些什么呢？我们应该从现在起节约用水，因为只要我们每个人都能节约一滴水，灾区的人们就会有一口水喝。我们要用我们的行动来支援灾区、救灾区，只要我们从身边的每一件小事做起，从力所能及的事情做起，珍惜我们的水资源，我们的灾区就有希望！

为此，我们号召大家：

1、 “一瓶水，一份牵挂；一元钱，一颗爱心。” 向灾区人民献爱心。

2、从每一件小事做起，节约每一滴水。

3、“小手牵大手”带动自己的家人都一起加入节水行列！

Hello, Everyone,

 

Do you know when you are studying and playing lightheartedly, there are many elder people and small children
around us who are gazing up at the sky with their wistful eyes, looking forward to the arrival of rainwater?  For
months, some provinces of China, especially Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi in Southwest
China, have experienced devastating droughts rarely seen in history, which have made rivers, wells and fields dried
up while land has been split apart because of drought.  What is more, not even a drop of water can be seen in a
spring which has never dried up for 500 years.  People have been living in dire straits with shortages of drinking,  liv-
ing and farm water while the crops in the fields have withered up and not a single grain has been reaped.   Accord-
ing to the weather forecasts, the droughts will continue to spread and the losses will continue to increase while life
will be harder for people in these areas.  

 

However, when the drought-stricken people are wearing a frown because of the drinking water shortage, some
people are wasting our common water resources wantonly.  What should we do, Children? We should save water
from now on, because as long as every one of us can save every drop of water, people in the disaster areas may
have some water to drink.   We will support and relieve the disaster areas through our practical actions and as long
as we cherish our water resources in all the trivia around and in whatever we can do, there will be hope for these
disaster areas.

 

To this end, we appeal to everyone to:
1. Dedicate our loving heart to the disaster-stricken people by “giving a bottle of water with our care or
donating one yuan to show our loving concern”;
2. Save every drop of water from little nothings of our daily life;
3. Lead our family members to participate in this water saving project by“holding big hands with our little ones”.
