Zhonghai Campus’ Class Basketball Tournament Finishes

为期近两个月的中海校区班级篮球赛于本周告一段落。本学期，根据五、六年级的实际情况，各年级每两个班组成一个队，两个年级的比赛都采用单循环赛，每个年级取前四名颁发奖状及奖品。

Zhonghai Campus’ class basketball tournament which has lasted for nearly two months has come to an end by this week.  For this term, in accordance with the actual conditions of the fifth and sixth grades, every two classes of either grade have made a team while a single round robin schedule has been adopted in the competitions for the two grades and the top
four winning classes from either grade have been awarded certificates of commendation and prizes.

通过本次比赛，增强了学生体质；加强了班级之间、学生之间的相互了解与联系；使孩子们更加团结；深刻体会到班级荣誉是要靠全体师生共同来争取的。此外，在整个活动过程中，体育组积极争取老师们的共同参与，并明确表示：凡是每场比赛到场的班主任，都将在各队最终的积分上再加额外的分数。通过这样一个激励措施，各班主任积极的参与到整个比赛，这给了场上比赛学生莫大的精神鼓励与支持，而且大部分老师还做了球队的临时教练，他们用心的布置战术，鼓励学生。整个比赛紧张激烈，全体师生共同享受着体育运动带来的无穷乐趣。

This tournament has not only enhanced the mutual understanding and communication between classes and students and
made the children more united, but also has helped the students deeply understand that the acquisition of the honour of a
class depends on the common efforts of all the teachers and students.  In addition, the PE Group have worked actively
to make the teachers get involved in the whole process and have clearly expressed that extra points will be added to the
final scores for related teams as long as their class teachers are present in all the games.  Through this motivational initia-
tive, all the class teachers have actively participated in the whole tournament, which has brought great spiritual encourage-
ment and support to the participant students.  What’s more, some teachers have even acted as temporary coaches of
their teams to encourage the students with their meticulous tactics.  The whole tournament has been fierce and intense
while all the teachers and students have been sharing the infinite amusement that sports have brought to us.
